My Boy Jack

The poem 'My Boy Jack' written by Rudyard Kipling in 1915 was the inspiration for David Haig's popular play by the same name. After the success of Journey's End (David Haig played Lt Osborne in the West End production directed by David Grindley; for which Khaki Devil provided the costumes) Haig decided to revive My Boy Jack for a national tour and insisted that Khaki Devil supply the uniforms for it.

We can provide accurate 1915 Irish Guards and Medical Officer's uniforms and equipment including the special Irish Guards Officer's tunic for Jack Kipling. We can supply not only the required military props (ammo boxes, trench ladder, spades, rifles) but also others including Music scores, period cigarette packets, Army doctor's stethoscope and even a gramophone player and a 1920s recording of Kipling's 'Recessional' if required.
