Museum Exhibits
We supply Regimental and Military Museums with exhibits and artifacts for display or Handling Collections.
These have ranged from scratch-built exact replica Vickers and Lewis Machine Guns to hard-to-find boots and original paperwork.
We recently supplied display and handling items to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The CWGC intend to build a new display area at their Maidenhead Headquarters for schoolchildren and other visitors.
We were comissioned to provide a replica of the uniform worn by German Prisoners of War for a museum in Scotland. This involved dying a British Battledress Blouse and Trousers black and then cutting a diamond from the back and inserting a red piece of cloth and a similar stripe down the trouser leg. We also provided wartime army blankets and a kitbag, stencilled exactly as one specific German's kitbag would have been in 1944.
We have supplied original and reproduction kit for museum Handling Collections enabling visitors to try on period uniforms and equipment.
In addition, we can supply Design and Production work for Museums. Over the past few years our designers have produced Books, Leaflets, Regimental Histories, Display Panels, Videos and Touch-screen Interactive Presentations for a wide variety of Museums.
