Chips With Everything
The classic play by Arnold Wesker, Chips With Everything, deals with class struggle, motivation, and power. Pip, one of nine RAF conscripts undergoing rigorous drilling, and the highly educated son of a general, has contempt both for his class who give orders and the class - his fellow conscripts - who take orders to eat 'chips with everything'. Based on Wesker's experience of National Service in the 1950s, the play appears to be making something of a revival on the amateur scene.
Whilst the majority of our stores house a sea of khaki (albeit with chronological and regional variety) we have a corner that will always be Air Force (and Navy) Blue. We can provide all the National Service Royal Air Force uniforms, equipment and rifles required for the play from Corporal Hill to Pip, Chas and Smiler.
