Blue Peter
National Poets Day
To coincide with National Poets Day in October, 2005, Blue Peter visited our Trench System and invited some local school children along to find out about life in the Trenches during The Great War.
Presenter Gethin Jones invited the children to write some poetry inspired by what they had seen and heard.
Several members of The Khaki Chums were on hand to answer the children's questions and create the 'live action' sequences which were intercut with the film of the children.
