
'Allo 'Allo
Another David Croft collaboration, this time with Jeremy Lloyd, the play was first performed at The London Palladium. Croft produced the stage adaptation after the success of the popular TV series. The action is centred around Café René in France during the Second World War.
We have had a great deal of fun researching and gathering the costumes and props for this production. We have become quite blasé about sourcing parrots and cockatoos, a pair of Edam cheeses on a string, not to mention Captain Bertorelli's hat or the German Officers' medals. Having five 'Hitlers' and three 'Goerings' on stage at the same time could prove a challenge to some costumiers, but not Khaki Devil! Keeping track of the portrait of the 'Fallen Madonna' might prove more tricky, but we are up to the task...
